How does  work? |

| allows anybody to set up their own skills and qualifications passport online to help them keep a record of all of the training and skills they acquire throughout their lifetime. Each passport becomes more valuable as it becomes verified by employers or other organisations that are registered as Skills Passport Verifiers. |

| How much will it cost me? |
|
| charges a nominal £10 per year for hosting your passport. This allows you to update your passport with an unlimited number of skills or qualifications.

| How can I pay? |
|
| When you apply for your Skills Passport you will be required to submit credit/debit card details against which your Skills Passport fees will be charged. In some cases, employers may offer to pay for your passport if they have provided training, in which case they will be charged directly when they create your passport.

| What is a "Registered Verifier"?
|
|
| A registered verifier is any organisation who has successfully applied to become a Skills Passport verifier. As a registered verifier you can verify details on any passport holders passport and submit applications on behalf of new passport holders. If you have large numbers of passport holders you wish to add, we will assist you by importing passport holder details from other third party applications. |
| Who can apply to become a "Registered Verifier"

| Any legally registered organisation can apply to become a registered verifier. Employers, educational establishments, recruitment agencies, job centres are typically registered verifiers.

| Are Registered Verifiers graded?
|
|
| Yes. Registered verifiers are automatically graded according to certain criteria such as length of time in operation, number of employees and tangible commitment to training and personnel development. We grade verifiers to provide other organisations viewing passport holder's passports with an objective assessment of the verifier and therefore the validity and credibility of the particular skill.

| Who can set up a Passport?
|

| A passport can be set up by either an individual, an employer or organisation who is a registered verifier.

| What is "My Goals"?
|
|
| Every passport holder has a 'My Goals' function which is accessible from their 'My Passport' page. My Goals allows you to set up a personal development plan by setting out your goals and then breaking them down into manageable milestones. Skills Passport will then assist you by emailing reminders to prompt you to take the appropriate action at the right time to ensure you stay on track and achieve your personal targets.

| As an employer and a registered verifier, can I view the records of the members in my employment?

| Yes. Providing each member has registered you as one of their employers.
